Percentage of a number calculator

This calculator works out how much X% of a whole Y is. For example, imagine that you find treasure! A chest full of gold worth £8,000. Because you are an honest finder, you hand the chest in at the local council, which pays you 10% of the value of the gold as a reward. This calculator can work out how much 10% of 8,000 is. Enter 10% in the first field and 8,000 in the second, and the calculator works out that it is £800.
