Powers calculator

This calculator works out powers of numbers. We write powers using an exponent (also called an index), for example 62. We read this as “six squared”, and the expression is equal to 62 = 6 · 6. Tip: the calculator also supports fractions. If you want to work out, for example, “a hundred to the power of a half”, enter one half in the “exponent” field like this: 1/2 (that is, using a slash).

62 = 36
