Prime factorisation calculator

Prime factorisation means writing a positive integer as a product of prime numbers. The fundamental theorem of arithmetic tells us that every positive integer can be written as a product of primes in exactly one way. For example, the number 100 can be written as the product 2 · 2 · 5 · 5. The calculator works out the factorisation of any positive integer you enter.

100 = 2 · 2 · 5 · 5
